Ayr Gaiety Lockdown Season
Participant, The Ayr Gaiety Theatre, 2020 - Present
The Ayr Gaiety Theatre hosted a series of zoom workshops during Lockdown led by creative professionals living in or from Scotland. These workshops spanned a variety of creative disciplines including performing, script-writing, songwriting, poetry, film-making, devising, and theatre-making.
As well as developing my technique in some of these areas, and working for the first time ver in others, one of the workshops allowed the participants to collaborate over six weeks to talk about our hometown of Ayrshire. Each week we were given a writing task and a filming task. Everything was edited together to create a touching homage to the town.

With the Lockdown Season still ongoing, I am currently a member of the Gaiety Ensemble. The Ensemble is made up of young people aged 18-25 from around Ayrshire and surrounding areas. To date, we have created a short film based on Chris Thorpe's short play Hold Out Your Hand, commisioned as part of WonderFools' Postive Stories for Negative Times.
The Ensemble are currently working alongside director Fiona Mackinnon to create an exciting new and original piece of theatre through Zoom!
